Randall (1886-1888), the Pray Manufacturing Company (1886), and the Minneapolis Street Railway Company (1888), as well as his law studies (1887-1888) and his initial legal work (1889). He also describes Minneapolis, its business and physical surroundings, and various events, including the 1888 elections.

John Lawrence Sullivan was born on October 15, 1858 in Roxbury, Massachusetts to Irish immigrant parents. Nicknamed the “Boston Strong Boy”, Sullivan began to box professionally in 1878. He was a heavyweight champion whose boxing style was reliant on brute strength, fighting under the London Prize Ring Rules (bare-knuckle boxing).
